SLIDER

Yellowstone Bear World

Friday, June 7, 2013
Headed up to Idaho Falls, ID to hang out with my hubby in between his flights (the life of a pilot.... constantly waiting around.  He flies from SLC to Idaho Falls and on Fridays his day is especially long.  He arrives in ID around 8:30 am where he unloads whatever freight he has then the waiting begins.  He doesn't leave with the new load until 7pm)

So, this Friday I headed out in my car and arrived up there almost at the same time as he did.  (There is paperwork and stuff to do before he takes off)

Anyway, not a whole lot going on in Idaho Falls.  We decided to head over to Rexburg to see the Yellowstone Bear World.  In part of the park you can drive through and see deer, mountain goats and BEARS!

This guy was quite unusual.  He is all white, but not from albinism.  He is very rare but has since sired three more white deer in the last few years.

Saw some cute, little bear cubs. For $35 you can get a picture while feeding them.

Even tho' we didn't have any kiddies with us we went into the petting zoo.  Thought I could get up close and personal with the animals.  This little gal was so funny.  As soon as I tried to take a picture she walked right up to me.  Had to act fast.  Talk about up close..  lol  You can see she knew where the food was.

This 'little' pot bellied pig cracked me up.  We didn't know what it was at first.  Apparently, he's pretty grouchy these days.  The employees used to feed him ice cream daily until they were told he was getting too fat.  So now he only gets it once or twice a week.

This next little 'guy' is only 5 days old!  Sooo cute!  'He' is one of a set of twins.  They didn't know the sex yet.

Stopped for a little light refreshment before riding thru the park one last time.
