Stamina

 LOL

This pin says it all!

Seems I don't have any stamina whatsoever...  :/

About 9 months ago I did an 8 wk session of boot camp.  I liked the fact that I basically had a personal trainer 3 days a week.   My sister and daughter to help motivate me.  And the satisfaction that I was really getting in some good cardio and strength training.

Midway through, I started having some real pain in my foot.  Well, turns out one of my toes had a fracture in it.  It wasn't caused by doing boot camp (I'd had mild to moderate pain prior to starting) but some of the exercises seriously aggravated the toe and made it very painful to work out.

So I quit.

Actually, I tried to keep going.  I think I may or may not have finished out the 8 weeks.

Once it was healed up I opted to try to keep up the boot camp style exercises on my own.  Well, I'm sure you can see where this is headed.  lol

After several months of inactivity I decided to return to boot camp training.  I'm on day 2 and boy is it kicking my butt!

Today was cycle and core..  I HATE cycling!  It's pure torture.

I can hardly move...

What I'm working on today.  Editing some super cool photos of my niece performing at Lagoon last night.  So fun!  More to come!

Happy 4th of July!!

Thursday, July 4, 2013
Spent the morning watching T's little sister kick it at her All-Star softball game. They won!!!  Whoo hoo!

What a fun way to spend the 4th!  Softball in the morning and baseball tonight.

Talk about All American!

Hiking Antelope Island

Monday, July 1, 2013
My daughter's boot camp scheduled a hike for this morning on Antelope Island.  Turns out only 2 people showed up.  Me and my daughter.  LOL

It was actually kinda nice. I'm not big on crowds.

So we started out on our hike and the deer flies and horse flies were so plentiful and 'hungry' we had to scrap the hike.

Lucky for us we had the benefit of a park employee with us and he served as our tour guide and drove us around the park.

Learned a few facts and got to see some areas not easily accessible by the general public. At least not by car.

Fun morning!

Check out the way in which they hung their curtains back in the day.

We also got to see a mangy looking coyote.
