Another visit to Antelope

Scouting out a location for my shoot tonight.  My first maternity shoot.  Haven't been to Antelope in years let alone twice in one week.  lol  These pics were shot at high noon.  Good thing the shoot is this evening.  It was sooo bright.  Beautiful day!

I took some test shots with my sister.  Thought I'd spare her the embarrassment of the other shots and just post this one.  She was a good sport.  lol

Antelope Island

Went on my first on location photo shoot with my beautiful niece, Karson.  A storm was blowing in but we thought we'd still try to get some shots in before it really started blowing.  You can see those images here.  On the way out I shot this one.  Loved the way the clouds looked.

Photographed this little cutie and her baby brother.  Wow, I need more practice when it comes to getting the wee ones to 'pose.'  lol  An on location shoot might have been better.  But that is why I'm doing this.  To keep learning and growing.

Just a quick photo of the little shoot I did today.  We could NOT get him to look up.  I guess it was a little too bright out for him.  He's such a cutie! 

I sure could use some tips for photographing babies and toddlers....  :)

"Something You Wore"

I know I shouldn't do this.. but let me start off with ....I hate self portraits or most pictures of myself, for that matter.  Now that I've gotten that out, I realize that there are hardly any pics of me around.  I'm the one who's usually behind the camera.  So while that statement is still true, I realize the value of capturing, even myself at, the various stages of my life.  Here's one of 'what I wore" today. 

"5 o'clock"

So... I couldn't come up with anything original for "5 o'clock."  One of the excuses why it took me so long to take the picture.  Took this with my ISO on auto.  Have never done that before.  Then converted it to B&W.  Not sure if I like it.....

"Smile"

Was asked to watch my youngest gkids for a few hours.  When it turned into a sleepover, it made her smile... =]

"Bedside"

What I have to do to get to sleep.  Once I turn on my iPad and start reading, before I know it I'm fast asleep.  And the best part...  there's no book to fall and startle me awake.  My iPad just goes to sleep with me.  lol 

"My Neighborhood"

To help challenge myself and keep on task with my photo a day, I looked up various challenges and began following them.  Today's was 'my neighborhood' so I thought I'd try to create a panoramic of mine.  I'd never tried it before and ...  it worked!!!  Yay!
